Can be an associated the natural or legal persons established in Portugal or abroad, including international organizations that identify themselves with the principles and objectives pursued by AEPAL.

There are five categories of members:

Effective members – participate financially and actively in the life of the institution;
Effective / cooperating members – contribute with services to AEPAL activities, in the same amount as the effective members;
Cooperating Associates – natural or legal persons that support AEPAL specific activities;
Honorary Associates – natural or legal persons distinguished by services provided to AEPAL or whose action in the Ibero-American space is relevant both in knowledge and in the evolution of Ibero-American relations;
AEPAL friends or associates adherent – natural persons benefiting from the advantages offered by AEPAL members or special conditions at AEPAL events.
