Applications for Portugal 2020 – Internationalization and Qualification of SMEs
On October 23, AEPAL signed a protocol of collaboration with gerprojetos, a consultant specialized in Investment Projects.
The collaboration protocol will allow AEPAL members to access Community funds through the preparation of applications by a specialist consultant with extensive experience in community funds.
Portugal 2020 is a partnership agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, which defines the programming principles that enshrine the economic, social and territorial development policy to promote, in Portugal, between 2014 and 2020.
Portugal will receive around 25 billion euros by 2020.
The programming and implementation of Portugal 2020 are organized in four thematic areas: – Competitiveness and Internationalization; – Social inclusion and employment; – Human capital; – Sustainability and Efficiency in the Use of Resources.
After analysing the needs of AEPAL associates and focusing on the development and acceleration of the process of internationalization of companies, gerprojetos suggests the commitment in the areas of Competitiveness and Internationalization, in the Incentive System “SME Qualification” and “Productive Innovation”.
The SME Qualification consists of selecting projects aimed at SME qualification actions in non-material domains with the objective of promoting the competitiveness of SMEs and their capacity to respond in the global market.
Productive innovation aims to strengthen the production of new or improved goods and services as well as manufacturing processes or methods, creating opportunities for internationalization and enhancing the quality of the business environment of the regions.

Currently AEPAL is with vacancies for companies that intend to apply for joint projects of internationalization or qualification.
